I have downloaded MACDTS and open the workbook now what?
The MACD trading system is downloaded as a normal Excel workbook. You can therefore store it anywhere you like. The trading system is designed to work with SysGen equipped with a moving average indicator add-in. If you have these add-ins installed, all you have to do is open the trading system workbook and press the "console" button on the trend engine toolbar. The console form will appear ready to run a simulation with default values. At this point, you can either click "Run" to see the simulation in action or you may go through the forms and adjust any or all of the parameters to customize it.

We are sorry that you are having this problem. Without knowing exactly how your computer is set up, we cannot determine the exact cause of this problem. Most likely the the display theme you are using is the source of your problem. You should change the theme to one that does not have a black background on the form input boxes. If you are running Windows, simply go to your desktop and right click on the background. Click on "Properties" in the drop down box, and then choose another theme on the Display Properties menu. Press "OK" and you should be able to read all console boxes.
